(née AUDLEY)
June 21, 1935 – March 19, 2022
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Lillian, our Mum and Grandma.
Lillian is remembered by her daughters, Colleen and Shannon (Rob); grandchildren, Nia, Kevin (Emily), Vincent, Steven and Eric; and many nephews and nieces. She joins her husband of 56 years, Lyall; parents, Eric and May; parents-in-law, Matthew and Ann; sisters-in-law, Arline and Adele; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Laurie and Joan; also her grandmother Sarah.
Lillian grew up in Weston, Winnipeg, attending Cecil Rhodes, Daniel McIntyre and Tec-Voc schools before working at Monarch Life. At 16, she met Lyall at Harry's Diner. They were married four years later, on June 9, 1956, and made Winnipeg their home all their lives, except for five early years in Dauphin.
We'll remember Lillian for her love of reading, her artistic nature (fashion, dancing, music, drawing, decorating, gardening, flower-arranging), her wonderful cooking and baking, her love of rain, of travel, her kind approach to others, and love of children. But especially, we'll remember Mum's wonderful smile, warm hugs, and her love and support.
Love you, Mum/Grandma! We'll miss you and remember you every single day!
