MADELEINE MORRISON

A very rare disease took a very rare person.
On Friday, March 25, 2022, Madeleine Morrison of Winnipeg passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the age of 70. She leaves us to be with Minnie and Gordon Morrison, her parents, as well as Norman Morrison, her brother.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Nancy (Rob) of Melbourne Australia; brother, Ron (Julie) of Holland, Manitoba; and hundreds of cousins. She will also be dearly missed by a very special niece, Brielle (Will) and their son Axel of Brough, UK; "nephew" Jeremy of Winnipeg; stepgrandchildren, Ellamay and Rio of Melbourne Australia, and several of her friends and extended family.
The pride in Madeleine's life was to be a grandmother to two girls, Alyssa and Ciera Sargeant. Denise Sargeant, a dear friend from Air Canada, and her husband Kevin, welcomed mum to be a grandmother to their girls. Alyssa and CC will miss their Granny M dearly.
Madeleine retired in 2007 after 37 years with Air Canada where she said were the best times of her life. She also enjoyed her part-time work at the Video Stop and Poco Creations and Beads.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, April 4 at St. Alphonsus Church, 315 Munroe Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2K 1H2, followed by a Celebration of Life reception in the church hall. Cremation has taken place, there will be no graveside service.
In lieu of flowers and as an expression of mum's gratitude to Father Bernard, a former pastor of the parish, who helped pay for Nancy's tuition for St. Mary's Academy, donations to be made to St. Alphonsus Church.
