ZDZISLAW EDWARD GRZADKA
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Zdzislaw Edward Grzadka, on April 6, 2022, at the age of 83, with his family by his side.
Born in Montreal to Walter Grzadka and Anna Wdowiak, he was predeceased by his parents and brother Michael.
At the age of 17, he joined the R.C.A.F., gaining certification as an electrical technician (Aero). While stationed in Winnipeg he met Jeannette, who he married in 1960.
He left the service and worked for Harry's Electric, National Lamp, then joined CN for a 32-year career.
Ed belonged to the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, ANAF #283, and Royal Canadian Legion #4.
He loved family, golfing, fishing, and camping at Big Whiteshell Lake. He had a generous spirit and lived life to the fullest, enjoying music and dancing, always the life of the party.
Making a lasting impression on those whose lives he touched; many new and lasting relationships were made through his love of travel.
Ed will be missed by his loving wife Jeannette; children, Myra Cox (Darren) and Richard (Bonita); grandchildren, Ryan (Steff) and Curtis Cox (Chantelle), Stephane and Andre Grzadka; extended family and many friends.
Ed's family wish to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Asper Cardiac Centre who did all possible to provide him with the quality of life he so wanted, then helped make Ed's final journey one of peace.
Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made in Ed's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.

Jeannette, Myra, Richard and family, We send our deepest condolences, love and support. May you find the strength needed to get through this very sad time...we are thinking of you. It was a privilege to meet Ed. It was an honour to call him a friend. He always had a song in his heart, a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eye and a great hug. His love of life was infectious! I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of Ed. We would like to pass on our condolences to Jeanette, Myra and Richard and all of the extended family. Ed and Jeanette were very good friends of our family. My parents always said that they are True Friends and would do anything for anybody. A Prince of a man that had a positive influence on many lives in the world... He was a role model for me and loved seeing him every chance I had. I am extremely heart broken as are others that were involved in his life. My thoughts and prayers are with my Aunt Jeannette, and cousins Myra & Richard. We are saddened by the loss of Eddie. It was such a privilege to have known him and we will always have fond memories of our visits with him in Alberta.
