A special thank you to the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and Health Science Centre and Victoria Hospital, 5th floor doctors, nurses and staff for the care and compassion they gave to Ben.
Cremation has taken place. A Faspa luncheon will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the reception room of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Hwy.

Heartfelt condolences to Linda, Family, And Corrina, from Shelley and the Strobl Family. Many Wonderful Childhood memories of Uncle Ben taking us for Skidoo rides when we were kids. Seeing Ben and my brother Larry often under a car motor restoring the engine of the antique cars. As kids, going over to Bens house to pick ripe raspberries only to have more on our faces then in the bowls! The families laughter, including Uncle Ben when my car fell through the garage floor! Sharing Christmas potlucks, and having Ben around for every celebration...we had some good laughs in those earlier years. Ben you will be sadly missed, May you rest in Peace. - Posted by: Shelley, Alysia, and Oliver Strobl (Ben was Shelley's Mothers Brother) on: Apr 21, 2022

Our heartful condolences to Linda and Family. Ben came to stay with our family (Kathy) when he first came to Winnipeg to work at CN in Transcona, I remember seeing his collection of model cars he made. He was always offering a helping hand to our family. We appreciated He and Linda came to visit us when we moved and telling us how much he enjoyed the peaceful times of camping. We know visiting and seeing family and friends was important to him. Rest in peace Uncle Ben. - Posted by: Shirley/Brent Quesnel (Uncle) on: Apr 19, 2022

Linda. I am so very sorry to hear about Ben’s passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. It was such a blessing to see you two at my mom’s celebration of life this past October. Growing up with Ben as my dad’s best friend (Ronald Fetterly) will always provide happy and positive memories that I will always cherish. Ben used to tease me when I was little and call me ‘Squirt’ as my dad did. Find strength in the wonderful years you shared together.
