I was very shocked to read and hear this. I looked and the last time we corresponded was Dec 5 regarding a mutual acquaintance. Dave and I started our humble IT careers together as sales associates at Radio Shack in Whitehorse. As he lived almost across the street from me at the time, he patiently taught me how to drive a standard in his little brown Honda Civic (bumblebee car) and later his little white Ford Ranger. We'd often get each other "Big H" (or was it "Super H"?) sized burgers with fries, gravy, mayo and ketchup when we worked Friday nights or Saturday lunches from Hougen's cafeteria. I always envied his Judo training. My condolences to his family and friends. Dave, may the Lord bless and keep you. May He make His face shine upon you, and may He look upon you with favour and give you peace. Amen my friend. - Posted by: Fred Hoenisch (Friend and coworker) on: May 03, 2022

I worked with Dave for over 18 yrs. or so but never had the opportunity to meet him personally and that is regrettable. Dave was my go to guy when things always looked to be the worse with an issue that seemed no one else knew the answer to or would attempt to resolve. You could always count on Dave to pick up the phone no matter what time of day or night or 2:30 am in the morning. He was there for you in every respect. I could not count the number of times he had saved the day for me when all seemed lost. A solid loyal guy the will be missed on so many levels. I know that he is wrapped up in the arms of the Lord. My heartfelt and sincere condolences go out to the family. Rest in Peace My Friend Renny - Posted by: Renny Marin (Worked through Video King with Dave) on: May 02, 2022

I cannot count the number of times Dave pulled my fat out of the fire! He had an uncanny ability to remember fixes for problems that most of us could not even remember happening in the first place! He always went the extra mile, for me. We spoke often, and he is sorely missed! - Posted by: Caleb Colson (Friend, Co-Worker) on: Apr 28, 2022

My most sincere condolences to Mark and Jen. Dave and I were 'nerd buddies' through junior high and high school. We practiced Judo together, both owned TRS80 computers and spent many hours together programming and playing computer games. He liked to 'tweak' my code so my games would glitch, drove me nuts! We went different ways after high school but I always remembered him fondly. We reconnected on Facebook a couple of years ago and it was really nice to reconnect. Gone too soon my friend! If you can hear/see this, 'stay out of my computer'! - Posted by: Neil Robinson (Friend) on: Apr 20, 2022

While working together, Dave and I had many great conversations and just about anything was on the table. He was definitely someone that you would want in your corner. Dave would always show up when you needed him. Even after working together, he would take it upon himself to keep me updated with how everyone was doing and how eveything was going. To Dave's family, I probably don't have to tell you this, but you all meant everything to him. I'm so sorry for your loss. Will raise a glass in his honor tonight and say a prayer for everyone reading this. - Posted by: Steve Dorsey (Former Coworker) on: Apr 19, 2022
