  • RIP brother. You have always been my best friend and brother for last 30+ years. Life is just not the same without you. I just hold on to the last thing you said to me and it was “I love you”. I will cherish all the stupid stuff we did and every moment of laughter. Till we meet again on that big bus the we are renting. And yes I know your driving. Love you my brother. • I haven’t seen you since I left for the CAF in 1991 but I’ve always considered you one of the better friends I’ve had during those high school years. The stuff we used to get into were some of the best times of my life and I’ll always remember those days. I wish we kept in touch, however I know you always had my back. I’m also learning of your Fathers passing last year, another good guy lost, another good man who had my back. Rest easy Brother, my truest condolences to your sister, your family and your friends. - Posted by: Lee Kolbuck (Friend ) on: Apr 19, 2022

  • My condolences to all his family and friends. No one was ready for you to go. I can never express my thanks enough for the times we had together through our dads, playing baseball to Sunday funday, dice games, garage chats. Very greatful for the role model barber and teacher you were to my daughter. Forever proudly and fondly remembered. - Posted by: Tamara (Friend) on: Apr 19, 2022

  • Greg’s passing has left a big hole in our family. He was such a fun, upbeat, sweet man and we were so excited that our darling niece Sandi had finally found her person. Greg was also a great step-dad to Christopher and my heart aches for them both as they grieve his passing. We will really miss Greg’s constant flirting and good natured teasing. Rest In Peace dear Greg. 💕🙏💕 - Posted by: Trudy Turner (Aunty) on: Apr 19, 2022

  • We lived across from each other for many years. I always envied your great attention to detail taking care of your yard. You were always nice to chat with and we especially loved your 90s rock music you would play loudly while you worked in your garage. We were so saddened to hear of your passing, it’s hard to find neighbors as nice as you. We will blast 90s rock music in our yard while we work in our garden in your honour. Rest easy Greg. - Posted by: Jennie (Neighbor and friend ) on: Apr 19, 2022

  • Most of my childhood Greg was part of my life. To this day I’m a childhood bff to his older sister Tamar. Growing up, most of the time he was a pain in our butts. As with any younger sibling the Porters made us take him with us. Some notable things like many Halloween nights, kids night in Anola community club, and to the store when they moved to Transcona. As much as we thought he was a pain he was very loved by both of us (and was so dang cute). RIP Greg. Sending all of your family and friends love during this time. - Posted by: Liane (Childhood friebd) on: Apr 19, 2022

  • Was my best friend for many years. Can't even begin to say how shocked I was to hear the terrible news. - Posted by: Jason Nelson (Friend) on: Apr 19, 2022

  • My heart is broken. Two peas in a pod we were. Even as adults the ribbing and teasing didn't stop. Miss you beyond measure, with a gaping whole in my heart. Rest easy, I love you. When I see you again, we will take that ride together, just like we had planned to do. :( Brother: I thought of you today. But that is nothing new. I though about you yesterday, and will tomorrow too. I think of you in silence, and make no outward show. For what it meant to lose you, only those who love you know. Remembering you is easy, I do it every day. It's just the heartache of losing you, that will never go away. - Posted by: Tammy (Tamar) Porter (Sister) on: Apr 19, 2022

  • Was the first person who said hi to me when I attended a new school in grade 8. I'll never forget how fun he was and the man he became. RIP my friend. - Posted by: Sandra Raposo (Friends ) on: Apr 19, 2022

  • RIP brother. You were too young. - Posted by: Jason Postma (Friend) on: Apr 19, 2022
