WILLIAM (BILL) FRANK SIKORSKI
May 28, 1930 - April 14, 2022

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bill at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli, Manitoba.
Bill lives in the memories of his wife Sherry Sikorski; brother Ron Sikorski; sons, Paul (Shelia Lafortezza) and grandson Calvin, and David (Lisa Thorn) and granddaughter Quinn; nieces, Victoria and Nichole Goodman of the United States; and many friends he made over a lifetime. Bill was predeceased by his sister Diane Goodman, mother Mary and father Walter.
Bill was born in Winnipeg, grew up on Logan Avenue and attended Daniel McIntyre High School before taking a job at James Richardson & Sons Ltd. in 1948, where he proudly worked until his retirement in 1993. As a young adult, Bill enjoyed travelling the interstate highways of the United States, taking trips to visit his sister in Los Angeles. After marrying in 1965 and starting a young family, Bill enjoyed summers at Lake Winnipeg, hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles with his sons and brother. In 1996, Bill married Sherry Bart-Sikorski and the newlyweds began their shared life in Gimli; golfing, renovating and sustaining the dietary needs for generations of seagulls. During this time, Bill started his second career serving Manitoba Crime Stoppers, making many friends and fond memories serving the Interlake communities for ten years.
We are especially grateful for the genuine care and professionalism of the healthcare providers and staff from the Bethel Home and the Johnson Memorial Hospital - Gimli.
Funeral arrangements will be announced to family members in the future.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Home Foundation, Box 10, 96 First Ave., Gimli, MB R0C 1B0.
