We remember many happy times together, going to see matinee movies and dining in restaurants, celebrating all our birthdays together, sharing turkey dinners on Thanksgivings and Christmases, watching fireworks on Canada Day and New Years Eve, visiting at Winnipeg Beach, driving to Arnes to see Terri and Steve, and spending many evenings together at home. When Heather was about 15 she would travel by bus from a little house in Fort Rouge to my house in East Kildonan to go to Kildonan East school. My mom would make her breakfast and we would go to school together. We did this for 3 years. Heather was a funny, beautiful girl with gorgeous hair and a smile that would like up a night sky.
