Dear Melanie and family, it is with great regret that the Watt’s learn of the passing of your dad. He was always such a friendly and lively personality and our hearts are with you at such a troubling time. Sincere condolences to you. I came across my great-grandfather’s immigration declaration from 1922– a century ago— and found it very interesting to read that his stated object in coming to Canada was to “join your great-grandfather” (and evidently great-grandmother, his sister). The times may separate us but the bonds of family remain always strong across the generations. An applicable message at a time such as this.
