MARJORIE ELIZABETH HOWARD
Peacefully on June 4, 2022, Marjorie passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Marjorie battled Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis with great courage, determination, strength and a very positive attitude.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Brian (Kim) and Kevin (Corinne); granddaughters, Gracie, Brookie and Sheena (David); great-granddaughters, Chloë, Bentley and Astyn. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Shirley (Randy) Mattern and Beatrice Maxwell; brothers-in-law, Barry (Judy) Howard and Ernie Bonchuk. In addition, aunt Margaret Bryan, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Richard; mother Myrtle; father William; brother Glen and sister Joyce.
Mom was born and raised in Rossburn. She moved to Winnipeg to attend Success Community College where she met Richard (Whitey) Howard. They were married in 1963. Mom was employed with the St. Vital School Division and retired in 1996. This led to a long, wonderful retirement, spending winters in St. Pete Beach, Florida, including many cruises. She loved baking for others, cooking and entertaining, always welcoming friends into her home.
Special thanks to Dr. A. McKinnon, Dr. V. Taraska, Palliative Care and Riverview Health Centre staff. We are so grateful for the loving support from Shirley and Wendy, also visits from relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. There will be no service.
Donations can be made in Marjorie's memory to a charity of choice, in lieu of flowers.
"Those we love don't go away,
they walk beside us everyday.
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
so loved, so missed, so very dear."

So sorry for your loss. I first met Marj in St. Pete Beach. What a great lady! She was always so welcoming and never too busy to visit with you. We had some great times playing cards and going to Jimmy B's together. Florida will never be the same without out "Brown Eyed Girl". I wanted you to know how highly I thought of her. - Posted by: Karen LeMaistre (friend) on: Jun 11, 2022

Please accept our sincere condolences. Marge was an integral part of an incredible team in the St Vital School Board. For Joan, she was a lifeline in every demanding work day. She brought not just her great work ethic everyday but her huge giving heart. We were so saddened when she lost Whitey and are happy to hear that she experienced the joy of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brian and Kim, Kevin and Corrine, our deepest condolences to you and your families. St. Vital has lost another person who gave so much of her time for friends and family. Especially in sports. Names like Howard's, Riels, Wilsons and too many too mention will live on forever. My whole family wishes to extend their thoughts and prayers for all of you.
