JAYNE MARIE BOND

Jayne passed away at the age of 65 on June 19, 2022, peacefully, at home, surrounded by family and friends, after a ten year battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her parents, Barry and Joan Bond (née Kelly) of Arnprior, Ontario.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Kayde Bond of Winnipeg, who was always her pride and joy.
Jayne is also survived by sister Mary Lou Pierrard (née Bond) and her children, Louise (Mike), Thomas and Matthew; her sister Anne Azuma-Bond and her children, Scott (Chelsea) and Jaime; her niece Lindsay Lefave (Megan) and her children, Xander and Scarlett; as well as niece Ashlea Burrows (nee Bond).
Jayne graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, Ontario and a Certificate of Criminology from Red River College. She worked at Manitoba Health for 37 years and part-time for over 20 years in resource protection for Sears and Eaton's.
She had many special friends that are too many to name, but they all know who they are.
Thank you to all the caring doctors, nurses and hospital staff that she encountered.
In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba would be appreciated.

  • Kayde, I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew your mom from our days at Waterloo. Reconnected with her a few years ago and it was terrific. She was a fantastic person! - Posted by: Ken Olsen (Friend) on: Jul 07, 2022

  • My deepest condolences, Kayde and family. Jayne was a truly amazing woman, she was selfless, giving and cared a lot about all those around her. Jayne was a supportive board member at Harrow Co-op Children's Centre Inc. and went above and beyond her duty to support the daycare, the staff and the children. Jayne was more than a friend, she was family and I will miss her terribly. - Posted by: Mihaela Mujcinovic (friend) on: Jul 05, 2022

  • Kayde, Marilou and Anne, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve known Jayne for many years at Manitoba Health, we slowly became friends and remained friends after our retirement. I will miss her so much and every time I get a taco salad it’ll remind me of her. She’s not in pain anymore. May she Rest In Peace.
