July 17, 1950 – July 3, 2022
Ric performed his last concert on the evening of July 2, 2022, with his band, Canadian Express, on the outdoor stage at Winnipeg Beach. He passed away at home suddenly and unexpectedly the next morning.

We were so shocked and deeply saddened by Ric’s sudden passing. Having got to know him better in the past few years it was obvious he was such a kind and gentle man. Such a great talent. I so enjoyed playing guitar and singing with him around the campfire out at our cottage in Matlock. Our deepest condolences to his family.
