LESLIE JAMES THOMPSON
June 20, 1938 - July 13, 2022
While his passing was unexpected, the way Leslie James Thompson handled the effects of his stroke was anything but. He retained his trademark sense of humour and eagerness to entertain to the end.
In addition to a long, successful career with CN, Leslie enjoyed many pursuits - growing tomatoes (often a little too well), listening to music (sometimes a little too loud) and making wine (never too great). At Grand Beach, neighbours often counted on him for help with cottage maintenance and beer supply "management".
Leslie leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Arlene; three sons, Tom, Tim and Todd and his brother Bill.
A "Gathering to Remember" will be held on Tuesday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the White Spruce and Grey Owl Suites, Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
