April 22, 1955 - August 10, 2022
On Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at age 67, our tremendously loved mom, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother passed away after a courageous stand against a lengthy illness in Winnipeg.
She was predeceased by her father Louis Truss in 1991; mother Mary Truss (nee Haidy) in 2013; brother Robert Truss in 1948; sister-in-law Maureen Truss (nee Kizlyk) in 2009 and father-in-law Orville Jones in 2020.
She is survived by her husband Dave; son Jeff (Kimberly) Baty; sister Carol (Dave - Wesley, Ginelle) Joss; brothers, Andy Truss and John Truss; mother-in-law Anita Jones; step-daughters, Crystal (Dustin) Jones, Aimee Jones and step-son Mike (Anna - Isabella, David) Jones; brother-in-law Larry (Georgina) Jones; sister in-law Shelly (Gord) and numerous close cousins.
For many years Christine worked in the legal field. Christine will be deeply missed for many reasons of which her sense of humour, ability to laugh so purely, chat so freely, tireless work ethic, determination, as well as love of animals, enjoying time in the yard and hosting meals all stand out.
Cremation arrangements have been made and no formal service in keeping with Christine's wishes will be held. Mom could always go for one more cup of coffee and in lieu of any other efforts, please have one for her if you wish.

Dave and Jeff, I was so sad to hear that Chris had passed. I will truly miss our shopping expedition and the great times we had. I will also miss our twice yearly visits to the Parade of Homes in the Spring and Fall. I will also miss the fun we had making Christmas cookies and treat each year. It won’t be the same. Dave, Jeff and Family. I was so sorry to hear Chris has passed. She was a good friend and neighbor. I will miss her and our shopping expeditions, and visiting the open houses in Winnipeg in the Spring and Fall. I will especially miss our Christmas baking get togethers.
