MARION CAROL STAWIARSKI
It is with great sadness that we announce (Marion) Carol Stawiarski's (née Campbell) passing on August 19, 2022 at the age of 82 with her family by her side.
She is survived by her son Shannon; daughter Leah (Chris); grandchildren, Luke, Zane, and Ava; as well as her brother Neil (Mabel); and nephew Dwight Campbell.
Carol is predeceased by her parents Roy and Carrie Campbell, husband Adam Stawiarski and companion Stan Rusnak.
Carol was born February 8, 1940 and grew up in St. Martin, MB. She liked reminiscing about her days on the farm. Going to town with her daddy; going to baseball games; and living in the caboose in her Grandpa Obsniuk's yard in the winter with her mom and brother so that she and Neil could go to school across the road.
Carol moved to Winnipeg in 1956, eventually met Adam and married in 1962. She spoke of the days when she and Adam would go on road trips. They would take a new car out for a test drive and cross the border and go to the US.
She made many friendships during her journey while working at The Royal Bank, Safeway, Great West Life, LGM Graphics, and most recently Superstore.
She enjoyed travelling back to St. Martin after moving to Winnipeg to visit her mom, dad, brother, aunts, uncles and many cousins. She enjoyed spending weekends and summers at Stan's cottage at Winnipeg Beach.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to her grandchildren's sporting events, gardening, playing bingo, playing cards, going dancing at the Legion, and doing crossword puzzles. And during lockdown she enjoyed playing Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo with her kids, grandkids and of course Chris, followed by some pizza
Rest in peace, you will be missed and always loved!
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on September 24, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. She will be interred with her husband, Adam, at Brookside Cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the kind and compassionate care that she received during her brief stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
