LESLIE BRADFORD JOHNSON
May 20, 1946 - September 29, 2022

With great sorrow we announce the passing of Les Bradford Johnson on Thursday, September 29, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Les will be forever missed by Tracy, his loving wife and partner of 38 years; children, Brad (Allison), Garth (Christy), Hillary (Mark), Casey and Joe; and grandchildren, Aldous, Clara, Jonny, Tommy and Albert. Les was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Delia, mother-in-law Babe Alix; father-in-law Red Alix; sister-in-law Jayne Sutherland; brother-in-law Terry Alix. Les is survived by his brothers, Steve (Debbie) and Brad (Linda); and sisters, Deirdre and Phina. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother-in-law Kathy; brothers-in-law, John (Nadia), and Tom (Lois); sister-in-law Heather; and brother-in-law Garry. He will be sadly missed by his Aunt Alene and cousin Hazel, Marg and Burt Haines, and Mary Walker.
Les was born in Brandon in 1946 and moved to Kenora in 1966. Soon after he moved to Winnipeg where he spent the rest of his life. Everyone who knew Les, would concur he was an eternal optimist always seeing the best in everyone and everything. He would hedge a bet on anything no matter what the odds. He inherited a love for music from his Dad, which he later passed on to his five children. He loved golf, puttering in the yard, family dinners, and playing pool and cards. Les loved to socialize in the afternoons with his coffee clutch at the Charleswood McDonalds.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at CancerCare for their thoughtful people and organized services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Les to the Canadian Cancer Society.
