ROBERT JOHN FRIESS
Sadly, on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Riverview Health Centre, Robert John Friess passed away at age 86 years.
He is survived by his Winnipeg family including, Joan (Glenn), Peggy (Marvin), John (Caroline), Jim (Sherry) and Ken (Joan). Robert had the above mentioned five nieces and nephews along with 11 grand and 22 great-grandnieces and nephews. He also leaves behind two sisters, Dorothy and Marion and their families.
Robert spent most of his working life installing flooring. He worked for Wright Carpets and later Bill Knight Flooring.
In retirement, Robert enjoyed, "the island," in Lake of the Woods, fishing, his family and the simple things that make life good!
Special thanks to Joan and Glenn Wood, uncle Rob's caregivers for the last number of years. They took such good care of his every need. He will be sadly missed by his fur baby, Maggie.
The family would like to thank the staff of 3E Riverview Health Centre for the kindness and care shown to Robert.
A celebration of uncle Rob's life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Monday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m.
