It is with heavy hearts, we announce that Rita passed away from a brief battle with cancer on October 21, 2022 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 60 years.

A celebration of Rita's life will be held at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc Street Winnipeg, MB. Prayers at 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. , Thursday , October 27, 2022 .

I met Rita in 2007, where we worked together. We soon started socializing outside of work. Rita’s humour and generosity were her redeeming qualities. Even though I moved away years later, we remained friends. There are many happy memories of Rita and I have. Dearest Flo, Louise and family, my sincerest condolences during this time of your loss.
