ERNEST (ERNIE) JOSEPH SHAW
November 9, 1935 - October 19, 2022

It is with great sadness that our family announce the passing of Ernie Shaw at the age of 86 at Grace Hospital with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren by his side.
He leaves to mourn his daughter Myrtle (Les); grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris), Laurie (Kris), Shonna (Ryan), Dan (Steve), Jason (Lisa); great-grandchildren, Coralee, Madison, Conner, Brodie, Lily, Juliette, Lincoln, Scarlett; great-great-grandchildren, Jaylene, Jaicee and Josziee; sister Myrtle; sister-in-law Helga; brother-in-law Edwin (Sharon); and numerous extended family.
Ernie was born and raised in Port Williams, Nova Scotia and was so proud of his heritage and Nova Scotian roots. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and proudly served 25 years as a Master Corporal. He met his love Grace in 1957 and on February 1, 1958 they were married. They went on to raise three beautiful children, Brenda, Myrtle, and Roy and were extremely proud of them.
After his service in the air force he was a security guard and went on to work at Standard Aero where he remained until he retired. He had a passion and love for airplanes, wood working, building things, being a practical jokester and most of all a love like no other for his family.
This is one last love you have a good sleep Grampy.
The family will be doing a memorial service and interment at a later date.
