1933 - 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Edward Kole on December 13, 2022 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 89.
He is predeceased by his mother, Tekla Koscielny; his father Joseph Koscielny and his sister Josephine Koscielny.
Edward is survived by his sister, Sophie Grieder; his nieces, Linda Beny, Karen Jones (James) and Darlene Jossy (Kevin) and his great-nephews and great-niece, Jonathan, Ryan, Adam and Nicole. He is also survived by Sharon Kole.
Edward was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and also lived in Ohio and in Vancouver, BC, before he moved back to Winnipeg two years ago. He enjoyed travelling, golfing, and his cat, Morris.
Mass of Christian Burial is to take place on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Parish, 341 Selkirk Avenue, with rosary to begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.

I met Ed when I was in my early 20's at Riverside Golf Ctr, where he was one of our very regular patrons. Ed and I got along well, and I looked forward to seeing him when he came in. I randomly thought of him today, and was happy to see that he loved many years beyond my time there at the golf course. I offer my condolences to his family. He was a very kind fellow, and we spent many moments chatting. He seemed to genuinely care about me as a person, and I appreciated that. I'm now grown, have three children of my own, and there were many times over the years since I left the golf course where I thought of him.
