LOUISE FLORENCE MAZUR
(nee STADELMEIR)

1938 - 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul Boleslaw, Louise leaves to mourn her two daughters, Mary (Ken Charleson), and Christine (Bradley Kulbaba), and four grandchildren, Anna, Jessica, Sarah, and Daniel Charleson.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Louise met Paul at the Canadian Grain Research Laboratory where they both worked as lab technicians. She left to raise her daughters and, with Paul's encouragement, graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1987 with a B.A. Hons in English Literature, and in 1990 with a B.Ed.
Louise's family is most thankful to the staff at WRHA Homecare, Comforts of Homecare, Tuxedo Villa Extendicare and St. Boniface Hospital for their attentive and thoughtful care and kindness.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Instead, please consider making a donation to Siloam Mission, Harvest Manitoba, The Laureate Academy Bursary Fund, Stroke Recovery Society, or Parkinson Canada.
Parastas funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion St., Winnipeg, MB with Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

  • Mary and Christine, We just recently learned of your mom's passing! Our deep sympathies to you both and your families. We have lovely memories of the care she gave for many years to Paul, and the time she would spend listening patiently. A gifted woman, intelligent, insightful, devout and calm. She and Paul spent many evenings with engaged couples, preparing them for marriage which they excelled at given their faithful bond and openness to sharing. Heaven has gained an angel.
