ROBERT HUNTER
Our family is deeply saddened to share that Bob passed away April 9, 2023 under the tremendous care of the staff of Riverview Health Centre.
Bob was generous with his love, friendship and time. From the simplest act of making breakfast for his family every morning, to his countless volunteer efforts, a lifelong blood donor, and perhaps most proudly for Bob - Team Manager of the Die Hards softball team for over 35 years. Bob was a true pillar in his communities.
Bob could be the life of the party, make friends with anyone, but also found solace and joy in the quiet moments of a dog walk or in reading the latest Tom Clancy novel in the screen porch at the family cottage.
After a short and harrowing battle with cancer, Bob’s fight has come to an end. True to the way he lived his life, Bob was strong, stalwart, resilient, and - for those who know him well - stubborn until the end.
Bob was both proud and grateful to be supported and cared for by his children over the past months. In truth, his kids were the proud ones - being able to care for someone who spent a lifetime expressing his love through acts of service.
A celebration of Bob’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg (603 Wellington Cres).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre in celebration of Bob’s love of nature or to Riverview Health Centre, who provided exceptional care during Bob’s final days.

Chris and I are very sorry to hear that Bob has passed away. We have many memories throughout our years at PRC. Especially our trip to Minneapolis in 76-77. Rest in Peace Bob! - Posted by: Cheryl Enquist (School friend) on: Jun 16, 2023

We are so sorry to read about Bob's passing. The entire "Muckle family" shared many wonderful memories over his lifetime, especially the numerous vacations our families took together, whether it be out west or Manitoba. Bob was full of life and shared his love with everyone. He will be dearly missed. May you now rest in peace and be joined with the love of your life - Nola. Our condolences go out to his entire family. - Posted by: Brenda Vanderlinden / The Muckle Family (Friends) on: Jun 13, 2023

Very sorry to see about Bob's passing. I really enjoyed working with Bob while he was at Western Life. He always made everyone laugh with his quick wit. One time he let out a really loud and genuine "Holy Moly" when I walked into a meeting after I got a particularly bad haircut. Still laughing about that many years later. - Posted by: Bill Bowman (Work associate) on: Apr 15, 2023
