Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Our family has many fond memories of your mother from our time as neighbours on McGill. One memory stands out - and that is of her freshly baked butter cookies. They were delicious, with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on top, cut into very tidy rectangles. Fortunately she shared her recipe with us, and "Mrs. Becker's cinnamon butter cookies" remain a family favourite. Her memory lives on. - Posted by: Lisa Gould (previous neighbour) on: Apr 25, 2023

  • I worked with Connie during her years with the Evaluation and Audit Secretariat, Manitoba Health. I continued to see her, together with other former members of the our work group, several times a year. She was a unique person with many varied interests and a passion for living including her children and grandchildren, travel, theatre and jazz. - Posted by: Barbara Millar (Friend and colleague) on: Apr 22, 2023

  • My sincere condolences to Connie's family on her passing. I worked with Connie at Maternal and Child Health from 1987 until 1990. She hired me to be the word processing clerk for our directorate and after teaching the two other secretaries the computer Connie came to me and asked me to teach her how to use a computer. She was the Best Boss I ever had and I would like to share a quote with her family. Connie has not died, but gone away, to a better place, free of pain and suffering. We will see her again some day. Rest in Peace, Connie. You are loved and will be missed. - Posted by: Patricia Rutherford (Co-worker at Maternal and Child Health - Manitoba Health) on: Apr 22, 2023
