Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNOEMIA DE FATIMA GONCALVES CRUZ FERREIRA
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister on June 8, 2023.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Pedro and her memory will be forever cherished by her children: Jose (Alice), Josie (Fernando), and Margaret (Mario): her grandchildren Anthony, Jonathan, Jordyn (Justin), Braedyn (Mitch), Keane, Chyanne: her great-grandchildren Kallen, and Griffin, her siblings, Maria (Jose) Prefirio (Maria Cerquira) Alfonso (Maria) along with numerous nieces and nephews both here and in Portugal.
Noemia was born in Portugal and immigrated to Canada with her husband and family in 1971. With her husband (Pedro) they provided a loving home for their children and later on for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Noemia was a woman who always put her family first and was intimately involved with the care of her grandchildren who she loved endlessly. You could often find mom in one of a couple of places: in her garden amongst her flowers, in her church in prayer with fellow worshipers among her church family, and out visiting all of those who were in need of some company. She enjoyed the simplicity of life and was happiest in the company of her family and beloved husband who she missed every day.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank all the caregivers who provided mom with comfort and loving care during the last several years.
Prayers will be said on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin St. N. followed by the Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. W.
In lieu of flowers donations in Noemia’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba.
