We are saddened to announce that Gertrude Kostiuk, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Gertrude passed at the young age of 77 years old at Riverview Health Centre, with her family by her side after a short battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 315 Munroe Avenue.

Our mothers were sisters close in age just a year difference. You were born just 6 months ahead of me. Our parents visited and shared many adventures. We were close souls in play and living. Remember these...at 4 or 5 years of age we used the start button on the truck to get it moving forward. At school age we gathered mémère's eggs in the chicken coop. We feasted on popcorn and all sorts of Christmas goodies with our boy cousins from another matante...I learned swimming in the Lake of the woods during summer with the family... And so many more memories. Though we did not visit in our adult years the heart connection continued always. Enjoy the blessings of eternity.
