Kenneth “Ken” passed away peacefully at the age of 67.
He was predeceased by his parents, Steini and Bergros Helgason; sisters, Fern, Eleanor, Kristjana “Kitty”, and Geraldine; brothers, Halfdan, Robert, Hallur “Halli”, and Gerald. He will be truly missed by all those he loved, including his daughter Julia, brother Carl, sister Rosalyn, many nieces and nephews, and his very dear friends.
Kenneth was born and raised in Riverton, Manitoba. He was a true artist. He created some amazing sketches and drawings (that hang on many of our walls), commercial signs, and photos. He had intellect, poetic candor, and a quick wit that was unmistakably his own. We will not forget him and will keep him in our hearts until we meet again.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Thank you to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre.

We always remember Kenneth and his family growing up in our community and attending Riverton Collegiate as a student. He had amazing artistic talent, which many of his friends still have his creations, which they will cherish forever. He was a mischievous student but he had a great heart and cared and respected other students and was friends to many others. Our condolences to his family and many, many friends of his. He will be missed totally by his family and friends. May you rest in peace, Kenneth. - Posted by: Lloyd & Jeannette Roche (Friend & past student in high school) on: Jul 08, 2023
