Joe is survived by his wife of 50 years Dale; sons, Jason and Jonathan; daughters, Jaime (Conrad) and Monica, and their families; four sisters, Margarida (Albino), Gabriela (Octavio), Dorvalina (Jose, deceased), and Julieta; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
Joe retired in 2016 after 43 years at CN where he was a locomotive engineer. Many will remember him as the “Portugoose.”
In accordance with Joe’s wishes, no service was held. A celebration of his life will be held on August 11, 2023.
