Don passed at Charleswood Care Home on Monday, August 14, 2023. He was 91 years old, “prairie tough” to the end.
Don is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Bruce (Lois), Glenn (Tori), and Mark (Donna); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Loreta Barnet and her family. He was predeceased by his parents, Annie May and Thomas Leitch; and son Brian.
Don was born in Grandview, Manitoba and was raised in Grandview and Winnipeg. He loved his family. Don worked for E H Price for 45 years. He enjoyed his work and the relationships he made there. His Grandview days gave him a fondness for the country. He played hockey and lacrosse, coached hockey, and loved to fish.
Don’s family thanks staff at Grace and Victoria Hospitals and Charleswood Care Home. We appreciate the care he was given.

Don is someone I'll never forget. Were it not for Don's leadership I would not be where I am today. When asked to describe Don I always said, "Don was tough but fair - if you made a mistake, you heard about it and that was the end of it."
