It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Jones of Winnipeg on September 7, 2023 at the age of 75.
Gail will be forever missed by her daughter Charlene Kubin (Todd) of La Salle, Manitoba; grandkids, Julie, Jolene, Jackson, and Jasmine; son Blake (Amy); grandson Dylan of Gainford, Alberta; daughter Carla Jones (Kevin); grandkids, Brendan (Devon) and Kaitlyn.
Gail was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Charlie; her parents, Arnold and Olive Lounsbury; brother George; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Tom Crate; and her beloved granddaughter Rachel Jones.
Gail will be sadly missed by her sister Sheron Unfried, niece Heather Unfried (Ruben) and nephew Glen Unfried; nieces, Shelly (Robert) Murdock, Sandy (Dudley) Begg, Lorelei Karol, Jeff Crate, and Roberta (Doug) Murdock, and their families. Cherishing her memory are her many friends and neighbours in St. Boniface and Spruce Bay, MB.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Meadowood United Church at 1111 Dakota Street, Winnipeg, MB.
The family would like to thank the staff at HSC for their compassionate end of life care. Thank you to both the staff at Meadowood United and Ethical Death Care for assisting with the final arrangements and for the beautiful photo-biography video they have provided in celebration of Gail’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Stollery Children’s Hospital in the name of Gail's granddaughter Rachel Makayla Jones.
