Date of Passing: Sep 19, 2023
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY (LYNNE) GALE
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our Mom on September 19, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2021, her parents, John and Jean Watt, sister-in-law Cathie (Paul) Romas.
Mom is survived by her four children, Margaret (David) Wegner, Donald (Cindy), Robert (Lisa), and Nancy (Ron) Laurencelle; grandchildren, Lindsey (Jordan), Sean (Kathleen), Donald (Hayley), Scott, Peyton, Brenden, Hunter, and Alycia; her beloved great-grandchildren, Luke, Zack and Brynn; and her sister Jean Watt.
Mom was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Norwood before moving into Windsor Park. She met our dad in 1960; they were married on October 21, 1961, and were seven months short of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
Mom worked at Great West Life, CIBC, Flyer Industry and moved to MLCC till her retirement in 1994. Mom was very family oriented and she spent countless hours taking us kids to sporting events. She enjoyed golfing and curling, and watching the Goldeyes with Mary and Paul. After her retirement they moved to their cottage at Coca Cola Falls where they enjoyed snowmobiling, floating on their pontoon boat and playing darts at the Legion. They moved back to the city when Dad’s health declined and kept busy travelling with the Shriners Vintage car club. They loved to travel and spent numerous winters in Oosyos, BC, where they made many new friends. Mom's best and last trip was to Scotland and England with her daughters, daughters-in-law and granddaughters this past June. She loved playing games and cards with her family, especially the online game Lizard with her grandchildren who live outside of Manitoba. Her grandchildren were very important to her and she never missed an opportunity to spend time in person or Face Timing with them.
There will be no service per Mom's request, private family interment to take place at a later date.

It was with great sadness the sudden loss of Lynne. I met Lynne in our home at Skyview Terrance 12 years ago. At the time she was just completing her battle with cancer. I looked up to Lynne for her incredible bravery, tinastity and admired her willingness to overcome no matter what. Lynne will continue to inspire me as I am sure she touched many others as well. Her family was her pride of her life. My truly sad sympathy to her family's sudden loss. I will miss our chats I will miss her as we all will. Our last chat reminiscing of her trip with the girls to Scotland. A beautiful experience she shared with gratitude of her fortune to have such a wonderful family experience. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have known Lynne and Don always. I can still hear Lynne's voice and Don's whistle off the balcony. Miss you both always. My condolences on the loss of Lynn. She was a wonderful friend to my mom, who was her neighbour at the condo until she passed two years ago. I had the pleasure of having many conversations with Lynn in the hallway while I stayed with my mom. She was a wonderful lady. I am sorry to hear of her passing. - Posted by: Tracy Withoos (Acquaintance ) on: Oct 07, 2023
