My dear, sweet Vanessa. Such a loss too soon. I will always remember your beautiful smile, sparkling eyes and jolly laugh. If I had not heard from you for awhile, you would let me know you were working on a book to send me and sure enough I would get a six page letter in the mail. Even though I live in Victoria and you were in Winnipeg, we always tried to stay connected. I love you Vanessa. God be with you. Love, your auntie Marilyn - Posted by: Marilyn Park (aunt) on: Oct 30, 2023

A profound loss to all who knew her. Vanessa was always smiling so big and her beautiful eyes always so bright. She lit up every room she was in and always made people feel they were not alone. She was, without a doubt, the most real individual anyone would ever get the privilege of meeting. Truly an angel on earth. She touched so many lives without even realizing the impact that tiny little being had on such a wide and sometimes gloomy world. Absolutely gutted and taken away far too early. Sending love and strength to you all. Keep shining Vanessa! - Posted by: Genevieve Michael (SMA Friend) on: Oct 28, 2023

Vanessa and I met while in school. Her smile had me at "Hello"! She had the biggest heart and would help anyone in need. We shared so many special moments and memories over the years. Then, time, distance, and life separated us as is often the case with our school friends. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Vanessa and her mother Sylvia. The two of you made a huge impact and difference in my life as a young man. I am sending heartfelt hugs filled with love and care to Sylvia, Jason, and the family. Vanessa was a Earth-Bound angel that now sings along side her peers watching over all of us! XOXO - Posted by: Jeff de Denus (Friend) on: Oct 10, 2023

I lived just across the street on Hector Avenue when Vanessa was a baby, her mom, Sylvia hired me to be Vanessa’s babysitter. My late sister, Angela also looked after her.
