It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gib on October 16, 2023.
Gib is survived by his wife of 65 years, Diane; his children, Lori, Jody (John), and Craig; grandchildren, Colin, Scott, Jessi, Candace, Dylan; and new great-granddaughter Mackenzie; as well as many family and friends. Gib was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl in 2011.
Gib was a Carman for 36 years at CN Transcona Shops, retiring in 1988.
Gib and Diane enjoyed their retirement as members of the Transcona Golf Club, trips to Texas, hosting pool parties, and playing darts. They made many friends along the way, whom they are very thankful for.
Gib was very creative and innovative, known for his inventions and building instead of buying. He will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Transcona Legion on November 20th at 1:00 p.m.
