SCARLET EDITH REID
We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Scarlet Edith Reid on October 24, 2023. Scarlet left this world the way she lived, knowing only love, while Daddy and Mom held her hands.
Scarlet was born on September 25, 2022, and had just recently celebrated her first birthday, and what a sweet one it was! Scarlet lit up every room she was in and made friends and fans everywhere she went. She loved to wave at everybody, and it didn’t take long to fall in love with everything about her.
She was a natural born adventurer. She loved going shopping, spending time with everyone who adored her, her daily summer morning walks and swings with mom and the endless rides down the slide at the park. Daddy always made sure to catch his girl. Scarlet was a celebrity amongst her local Starbucks baristas and was Miss Popularity at daycare. She touched more people in 13 months than most could ever wish to achieve.
Scarlet will be forever missed, loved, and remembered by her mom Karsey and dad Derek. She was the beloved granddaughter of Art, Penny, Wayne, Karen, Lynn, and Greg. She will forever be missed by aunts and uncles Holly (Nathan), Janelle (Paul), and Cyndle-Lee (Nicholas).
Scarlet made everyone feel loved and will be missed by a huge circle of family, chosen family and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15 at MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall at 2:00 p.m.
