PHYLLIS REDDY
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis, who peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 89 years.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband Venue of 61 years; sons, Phillip and Chris; grandchildren, Ellora and Alexzander; sister Gloria; and brother Gordon.
Phyllis was born in St. Louis, Missouri but spent the majority of her life in Winnipeg. She was an extremely kind-hearted soul who gave far more than she ever asked for herself. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys but she enjoyed gardening, baking, pets, trips to the casino and meeting new friends. Phyllis was a gentle soul, and will forever be missed by her family and friends. A bell has rung to announce the arrival of another angel in heaven.
A funeral service will be held at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place on Tuesday November 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. She will be buried at Glen Lawn Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society or CancerCare Manitoba would be greatly appreciated.

Phil and Chris, your mother was a beautiful lady who filled the house with laughter and smells of home cooking and baking. She was the sweetest lady and has a special place in my heart. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. It was nice to bump into her at church, say hello and give her a hug even though our lives went in different paths many years ago, she was still special to me. She liked watching my kids grow and always had a compliment to give. I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Christine (Ali) Naismith (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2023

Dear Phillip and Chris, I was very saddened to hear of the news of your dear mother’s passing. As you may remember, my (late) brother Jason Thorvaldson greatly enjoyed spending much time with you both in your younger days. Your mom was always so kind and generous - with a wonderful sense of humour. My (late) mother Julia and she had a lovely relationship - and I recall my mom looking forward to their many conversations. Wishing you and your family all the best at this sad and difficult time.
