WILLIAM GOLDWIN HARRISON
It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of William on November 8, 2023, at the age of 94, just one month shy of his 75th wedding anniversary.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Goldie and Iola Harrison of Killarney, MB as well as two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, son Len (Linda), daughters, Debby (Harley) and Lisa (Dave), four grandsons, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born in the municipality of Turtle Mountain and grew up in Bannerman, MB until he moved to Winnipeg in 1948. He worked plastering houses and at Eaton’s mail order until he found his calling with the City of Winnipeg Water Works which he retired from after 40 years of service. His passions were fishing, hunting, and baseball which he played into his 70s with men half his age.
Bill will be forever missed by his family and in keeping with his wishes, he will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Cemetery with a private family service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of William to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.

We, the Demers family, had the honour of living next door to Bill and Phyllis for over 35 years. They have been the BEST neighbours one could ever hope for! Over the years, their kindness, generosity and love surrounded us completely. Bill's handiness made projects seem easy and his Irish wit and wisdom made life very entertaining. His generosity with Scotch mints and Phyllis' with her tea and baking made visits an anticipated event. We will always be grateful for the joy and laughter we have shared together. Bill, we miss you dearly and Phyllis, we love you forever. - Posted by: Marcella, Hubert & family (Friends and Neighbours) on: Nov 17, 2023
