SANDRA ROSE USHER

August 11, 1957 - November 10, 2023

Peacefully, following a lengthy illness, Sandra passed away at the age of 66.

Born in Toronto, Sandra was raised in Winnipeg and attended schools in Morse Place and East Elmwood. She became a competitive athlete in her teens enjoying girl’s hockey and school sports. As an adult, golf became her passion. Sandra had a close circle of friends throughout her life and loved her time with them. Wynonna Judd concerts were also an absolute must, near or far.

The family wishes to thank Sandra’s dear friend and caregiver Jean Chennell for her many years of support and kindness to Sandra. Thanks also to staff on 4th floor, Concordia Place Personal Care Home.

Cremation has taken place. No formal service will be held.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I just found out today that Sandy has left this world. We stayed connected on facebook messaging, but lost touch over the past few years. When I moved to East Kildonan to attend Morse Place school. Sandy (Ush) was the first person to embrace me as a friend. We had many great times and laughs together growing up. Parties, hockey, sleep overs. We lived very close, and would walk to and from school together many days. She was a much better athlete than I was. I leaned more towards dancing, but was not nearly the athlete she was. I think she had many laughs over my hockey playing. She was a gentle, sweet human, and I’m saddened by just finding out today she is no longer on this earth. Please know that my sincere condolences are being sent to the family and friends of dear Sandy (Ush). Rest peacefully my old friend. Glory Last - Posted by: Glory Last (Friend) on: Feb 04, 2025
