LINDA LORRAINE SHOOK
On Monday, November 27, 2023, Linda Lorraine Shook passed away peacefully at her residence at Sturgeon Creek 1, at the age of 89 years.
Linda was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Stanley in 2006.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Glenn and Debbie (Dale). Forever remembered by her grandchildren, Devon (Alexis), Cameron (Blair), Renee (Mitchell) and Brett (Brianne).
Linda was born in Winnipeg on March 1, 1934. She met Stanley, playing baseball in Elmwood, and so they began courting with a love to last their lifetimes. They were married in 1952 and lived life to the fullest. Together, Linda and Stan owned Tropicana Pet Store for over 40 years. She will be best remembered for her warmth and kindness, her incredible hosting skills, her delicious cooking and the ability to out shop anyone. The two loved to garden and their home was included in gardening tours during the summer months. Linda enjoyed playing badminton in her younger years. Once retired, Stan and Linda went golfing and took up pool at Classics.
Thanks to homecare and the palliative nurses for their guidance and support for the end of Mom's journey.
The family would like to thank the staff of Sturgeon Creek 1 who helped her live her final seven years there with elegance and dignity.
In compliance with the family's wishes, no formal service will be held, a private burial will take place at a later date.
