NANCY GOODLAND
Peacefully, after a brief illness, Nancy Goodland, beloved aunt, passed away on November 21, 2023. She was a cherished soul who left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her.
Nancy was a lifelong Winnipegger who grew up in Wolseley, eventually settling in Kenaston Village. Nancy shared a profound bond with her family, which extended to her dear dog, Sweet P, whose loss she deeply felt.
Her professional journey led her to a fulfilling career as a dedicated lab technician at Concordia Hospital. She had a long and well-deserved retirement after she retired in 2003.
Nancy was a lifelong fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and she found immense pleasure in following the games, culminating in witnessing the 2023 Grey Cup, an experience that brought her great happiness despite Montreal winning the trophy. Go Bombers Go!
Nancy's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her surviving family members, including her cousins, Elizabeth “Libby” Manthy and John (Patty) Anderson; niece Cathy (Chris) Collier; her great-nephews, Benjamin (Daviel) Flight, Bryan (Brittany) Collier and Andrew (Cairistin) Collier; great-niece Jill Collier; and great-great-nieces, Ellie, Gwen, and Elsie Collier; and great-great-nephew, Nick Collier. She will also be dearly missed by her many caring neighbours and close friends. Her presence in their lives brought warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
A private celebration of Nancy's life will be held in 2024, with details to be announced later.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either of the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
Nancy will be dearly missed but will forever remain a beacon of love and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace.
