BETTY HELEN CAMPBELL HAZEN

(née OFFICER)

April 21, 1932 - November 30, 2023


After a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Betty passed peacefully at the age of 91 at her home in River Park Gardens Personal Care Home.



Betty was predeceased by her husband, Mar Campbell, father of her five children in 1967; then in 2008 by her loving partner of Hans Bauer, whom she spent 20 happy years with. Also predeceasing her were her parents, Eben and Bea Officer, sister Phyllis Bowser and husband Jack and daughter-in-law Nancy Campbell.



Betty is survived by her five children, Lynn (Jose), Ian, Leigh (Richard), Grant (Janet) and Marcie (Ed), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Alex (Judy) and John (Leslie) Officer and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.



The family would like to thank the wonderful, loving staff of River Park Gardens Personal Care Home for the care and compassion our mom received over the last four years, as well as Ethical Death Care for crafting the beautiful photo-biography video in celebration of Betty’s life. This can be viewed by following the "tributes" link at the bottom of this obituary.



A special thank you to Betty’s wonderful friends, she loved you all.



Cremation has taken place and in accordance with her wishes a private service will be held and at a later date a Celebration of Life.
