Wonderful memories of Ernie from time at U of T and on Amelia Street in the 60's. He was always a good friend. - Posted by: Martha Ireland (Friend from U of T) on: Jan 20, 2024

Ernie left a very promising career in the federal public service to pursue justice for First Nations. He was a pioneer, a leader in building towards reconciliation, momentum that accelerated though his persistence and effort. It was a privilege to have known and worked with him. My deepest condolences to Deborah; also to Nick and Tanya, and the entire family. Such a worthwhile life.
