It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lillian Lipton on January 20, 2024. Lillian had a long and happy life spanning 93 years. She was predeceased in 2005 by Bill, the love of her life for 54 years; her parents Thomas and Maria Krosney; her sisters Anne and Beatrice and brothers William and John. She leaves behind her brother Russell (Edna) Krosney.
Left to cherish her memory are nephews and nieces from here and afar, especially noting Richard (Lori) Dooley; Jimmy (Pat) Dooley; Shawn (Audrey) Dooley; Dale and Tracy Jordan and their families.
Lillian loved to tell the story on how she met Bill, the blue-eyed catch, that started out as a long distant relationship until Bill mailed her an engagement ring and asked her to be only his. They lived in Winnipeg most of their lives running a brick laying business, but headed to Toronto for a few years until they could no longer stand being away from family back in Winnipeg. Lillian was a devoted daughter and wife right to the end. She touched a lot of people in her life and was always considered a lovely lady and friend.
Cremation has already taken place and a service is planned in June for her birthday. More details will follow at that time.
