Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNA HELEN BEAUDRY
On December 15, 2023, our mother and gma passed peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Lorna was born on September 16, 1930 and grew up on her family’s farm outside of Whitewood Saskatchewan. At the age of 15, she started working at the hospital in town. She did not have any formal training but she would assist the doctor with whatever was needed. She would tell of the day that the doctor couldn’t get to the hospital in time and so she had to deliver twins.
Shortly after graduating from the Brandon School for Psychiatric Nursing, she caught the eye of a Frenchman and they were soon married on November 18, 1952. Her training as a psych nurse came in handy as they raised 5 children together. They bought their first house in 1955 and remained in this home their whole life. This house became the home to many and if ever you needed a place to stay you were never turned away.
As her children got older, she went back to work, this time as a florist where she excelled at designing arrangements.
Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she succeeded in making each one know just how important and special they were.
Her artistic side was evident in her work as a florist and in her paintings. She was self-taught and in her later years she worked a lot with water colours. Many close friends and family display at least one of her paintings in their home.
To cherish her memory, Lorna leaves behind her children: Allan (Linda), Tim, Lisa (Rick), and daughter-in-law Pat; her grandchildren: Krista, Heather, Justine, Megan, Alex, AJ, Caitlin, Jarrett, Zac, Liam, Carly, Riley, and Tayler; and her great-grandchildren: Chayce, Lucas, Joseph, Conor, Freya, Rowan. Lorna was predeceased by her husband of almost 70 years Larry, sons Terry and Don, and daughter-in-law Sharon.
We would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Lowden who was a tremendous support to our mom as her health began to fail her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do something nice for someone else, unexpectedly and without explanation.
A celebration of Lorna’s life will be held sometime in the spring.

Our condolences to the Beaudry family. Our family cottage is across the street from the Beaudry family cottage. When my kids were young, we used to spend a lot of time at Grand Beach and they would often play with Krista and Heather when they were all out. I spent a lot of time in the yard with Lorna and Larry. We had some nice chats while the kids were playing. I haven’t seen Lorna as much in recent years, and think of her often. My son keeps me up to date on her after his semi-annual visits to her home. May God be with you till we meet again, Lorna. - Posted by: Louise Dahle (Grand Beach friend) on: Jan 27, 2024

Long time friends of the Batt Family. We sat close to Lorna and Larry at the Goldeyes games and Ken said he felt safe from fly balls with Larry and his trusty glove. We always had lovely chats with Larry and Lorna. We are very sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Ken and Eileen Batt (Friend) on: Jan 27, 2024
