Wiiliam (Bill) James Alexander Slater of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away peacefully with family at his side on January 23, 2024, after a short battle with Cancer at Jocelyn House.
Left to mourn the loss are his children, April, Jennifer, Angela, William Jr., and their partners; grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Sigurdson, Susan Gower (Keith), and Donna Wakaluk (Greg); brother Greg Slater (Sharon) as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts who were all very special to him.
Upon Bill’s request, cremation has already taken place and there will be no service.
We would like to thank the fantastic staff of Jocelyn House for the tender care, compassion and support given to Bill and the family.
Bill would want everyone to play some music, have a dance, and tell a good joke in his honour.

Oh Lynne, Angela, William and families. So sorry for your loss. Lynne I know how special Bill was to you and vice versa. You talked about Bill and your special friendship all the time…you remained such good friends and helped each other out so much. You raised the bar for couples no longer in a marriage and showed the world how to remain friends. I know how you will miss him.
