DONALD RALPH WARRENER

June 5, 1962 - January 21, 2024

Peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024, our beloved husband, dad, gramps and best friend, Don Warrener, passed into the loving arms of his Saviour Jesus Christ. We are comforted knowing that all his loved ones in Heaven were there to welcome him. Don’s steadfast Christian faith sustained him throughout his life and carries him still in the loving company of God.

Deeply loved, Don will be forever remembered by his loving wife and soul mate Sarah of 40 plus years, daughter Melissa, son-in-law Eddie, and his best little buddy Lucas, his adored grandson with whom he will always have a special bond.

One of Don’s amazing gifts was that of making meaningful connections with everyone he met. Don has many dear and treasured family members and friends who will remember him with love. Sarah’s sisters, Mary (Ian), Laurie (Les) and their families, KC de Jong and wife Sandy, Bob T., Bill and Alison G., Don S., his choral music family, his many friends in Christ at St. Saviour’s, and everyone he shared fellowship with along life’s path.

Don’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He and Sarah loved nothing better than a visit with Melissa, Eddie and Lucas with conversation, laughter, and the joy of just being together. Don simply adored spending time with his grandson Lucas. Endless hours spent together working on their quads and riding around the property. Don’s John Deere Tractors, 1969 Dodge Dart, 2022 Challenger Scat Pack, and watchmaker’s bench were constant sources of exploration, learning and enjoyment. Joyous laughter from playing in the basement with the trainset town, carpet hockey, balloon volleyball and a family favourite “Snake Tag” are treasured family memories.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Don’s life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church, 690 Munroe Avenue. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory can be made to St. Saviour’s Anglican Church in support of the Music Ministry.

  • Sarah and family… Don and I were colleagues with International Paint… our encounters were infrequent but always so enjoyable as Don’s sly sense of humour was always on display… we enjoyed more than a few memorable meals over the years but most discussed was perhaps the only night of the year there were no mosquitoes while eating outside at The Forks! Don’s kindness was appreciated also by my musician son whom Don went to see when he went through Winnipeg a few years ago. I hope the many memories you have of Don’s life will be of comfort to you during the difficult time. - Posted by: Jim Lefler (Work colleague ) on: Feb 08, 2024

  • Don was a close childhood friend of my son who spent a lot of time in our home. He called me his second Mom! He was always happy & it was a privilege to have known him. Heaven has received a wonderful Christian man who has been reunited with his loved ones who have gone on before. My prayers & sympathy go out to Melissa & her family. May God's peace surround you at this difficult time. - Posted by: Anne Diachun (friend) on: Feb 03, 2024
