MARGARET ROSE ABRAHAM

We are sad to announce the passing of Margaret Rose Abraham, nee Palmer, on February 1, 2024, in Ste. Rose du Lac at the age of 86 with her family by her side.

Margaret, the eldest of three children, was born on June 27, 1937, to Elsie and Frank Palmer in Dauphin Manitoba. Margaret grew up in St. Charles, Winnipeg.

In her early years, Margaret worked as a switchboard operator. Margaret married Larry Abraham in 1956; they had five children, Ronald, Debbie, Michael, Teresa, and Danny. Margaret worked as a nurse’s aide for many years in various places in Winnipeg.

In 2016 Margaret’s health was declining so she moved to Ste. Rose du Lac. In 2017 Margaret made another move into the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Personal Care Home. Margaret was known to many as the feisty one but also loved by many.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Frank, brother Donnie, son Ronald, special aunty May, cousin Beverly, and nephew Little Donnie.

Left behind are her sons, Michael and Danny; daughters, Debbie (Oliver) and Teresa; her sister Arlene (Brian); sister-in-law Mary; 12 grandchildren, Christine (John), Margaret, Ronnie, James, Autumn (Matt), Aurora ( Meghan), Sherry, Jeannine, Alyssa, Meagen (Kyle), Harley and Cole; 10 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Evan, Jared, Egan, Indianna, Darian, Sydney, Randi, Parker and Bella; four great-great-grandchildren, Braxton, Rogan, Asher and Rylynn; cousin Bernice; nephew Jeff (Jennifer); their children, Lauren and Tyler; niece Christine, her children, Kitty and Cristiano; along with many cousins.

The family would like to thank Dr. Paradis, Dr. Gudmunson, and Dr. O’Hagan, along with all the staff at the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Personal Care Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
