LESLIE CHARLES RADCLIFFE

1932 - 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Les Radcliffe on February 8, 2024 at the age of 92.

Left to mourn are his wife of 62 years Virginia, his children Kent (Marcia) and Leanne (Stephen), his grandchildren Mackenzie, Cody, Nicole (Brad) and Lauren and his great-grandson Bowie. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Marjorie (Bill), brother-in-law Bud, many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Wilhelmina, his sisters Joyce and Beverley and his in-laws Rosie and Alec.

Les was born on February 1, 1932 in Winnipeg and was raised mainly in the West End. He was married to Virginia on September 23, 1961 and together they raised their family in Windsor Park. Les worked for Manitoba Hydro for almost 40 years where he made many friends. He loved to curl, golf, play baseball, read and do crossword puzzles. He was also a member of the Director’s Staff of the Khartum Shriners for many years.

Dad (Papa) was a kind and gentle man who loved his family. He never missed any of his children’s or grandchildren’s sports games, recitals, concerts or school presentations.

Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

  • Dear Aunt Virginia, Kent, Leanne & Families: My heart was saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Les. I remember fondly our annual Boxing Day celebrations at your home. We were a boisterous group (so many cousins in one house!) and Uncle Les, with his dry sense of humor, always had a witty comment or two at the ready. Life moves on and although the 3 siblings - Auntie Joyce, my mom Bev and Uncle Les - left us all within not so many months of each other, I like to think they are happily reunited, youngsters once again. I’m so glad we were able to see Uncle Les at Mom’s celebration of life this past November. Take comfort in your memories. Love, Jody (niece & cousin) - Posted by: Jody Dubeck (Niece ) on: Feb 17, 2024

  • My sincere Condolences to Virginia and her family! From your neighbor, Thuy. - Posted by: Thuy Ho (Neighbour) on: Feb 17, 2024
