It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dermot Joseph Ryan, the beloved husband of Stella. He passed away on February 14, 2024, at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, at the age of 86.
The family expresses gratitude to Ethical Death Care for their touching photo-biography video honouring Derm's life, accessible through the 'tributes' link at the bottom of this obituary.

If this is my Derm & Stella...going back to the 1970s & working at long gone Unicity Mall. We have so lost touch but I have never ever forgotten us❣❣❣ Stella...the us were you & Derm. Janet & Barry Klapak. Jean & John Roschuk. Hey don't forget Ruth & Pearly Prosser. Wally Keller. Elisabeth Schellenberg. And adorable Scandinavian Borgerson whose first name escapes me. We were a fun & very funny group...or so we thought !!! You were wonderful friends to me. I was new to Winnipeg...no friends or close family. An almost teenager single parent with a small child. You all rallied round & were my new family. I ended up getting my first job EVER with all of you ladies. I loved it & all of you. You helped a small town girl learn to navigate the big scary city..
