MARGARET ALTHEA LONG
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Althea Long announce her passing on February 25, 2024, at the age of 92.
Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her son Mitchell (Lynda), son-in-law Scott, her grandchildren, Matthew, Martin (Marie), Alison (Grant), Douglas (Meghan) and great-grandchildren, Zoey and Max. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Bill and daughter Karen.
Margaret was a lifelong resident of St. Vital. She attended Norberry School and Glenlawn Collegiate. After high school she worked as a secretary with Western Theatres until her daughter Karen was born. After Bill’s retirement Margaret and Bill moved to Kirchoff Gardens where they made many friends. They also spent many happy summers in their travel trailer at Spruce Sands Trailer Resort.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
