ROBERT (BOB) GRAHAM MORGAN
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved, Robert (Bob) Morgan, in the St. Boniface Hospital on the afternoon of Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the age of 74 years.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Chris; sister Margaret; children, Brent (Ana) and Marla (Novi); and his cherished grandchildren, Quinn, Will and Sophia.
Bob was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Winnipeg with his family when he was five years old. He attended Brock Corydon School and Grant Park High School. Playing football with the Fort Gary Lions was a big part of his adolescent years and he fondly talked about their championship win.
Bob served 31 years with the Winnipeg Police Service and for many years was a member of the Winnipeg Police Search and Recovery Team. Bob was a well respected and well liked policeman who had forged many close friendships with his fellow officers. Always so kind and loving. He loved to tell stories and was quite the jokester. He loved dogs and had a very special bond with his lab Shaker who he spent many hours walking at Harbour View dog park.
Another very special place in Bob’s heart was the family cottage at Westhawk Lake, MB. Many hours were spent with his family on the lake tubing, swimming and socializing with family, friends and neighbours. He also spent many hours of his time and effort, along with the help of others, constructing and fixing the cottage to what it is today.
“You will be forever missed and we will always carry your memory in our hearts.”
In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions in Bob’s memory to any animal shelter or CancerCare Manitoba.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Niakwa Country Club, 620 Niakwa Road, Winnipeg, MB.
The family expresses gratitude to Ethical Death Care for their touching photo-biography video honouring Bob's life, accessible through the 'tributes' link at the bottom of this obituary.

I met Bob through Cathy and Clare many years ago. You just couldn’t meet a nicer, funnier guy. I was lucky to get reacquainted with Bob and Chris over the past few years through good mutual friends. Chris, my deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family over your tremendous loss. May all your wonderful memories keep you afloat and on course at this time. - Posted by: Ginny Brown (Friend) on: Mar 24, 2024

My sincere condolences to Chris, Margaret, Brent, Marla and families. Bob and I were lifelong friends. We went to the same schools, played on the same hockey teams, both had paper routes and both had motor cycles. We shared life celebrations - our many birthdays, the weddings of our children and eventually grandchildren. Our friendship endured the years, even though living far away from each other. He will be missed. - Posted by: Robert Weston (Friend ) on: Mar 16, 2024

Our deepest condolences to Chris, Brent and Marla and families. We were neighbors to Bob and Chris and there was never a time we would see him and he would tell us a story with that contagious smile and laughter. He was a wonderful man who will be missed. We purchased a cottage at West Hawk 15 years ago and the Morgans were our neighbours. Bob was always welcoming and had a positive attitude and made us feel at home. We frequently walked by Bob’s place and would have conversations about the weather or the Bombers. He always had a smile on his face and you could tell his loved being at the lake with his family. We will miss him. - Posted by: Steve & Oriana (Neighbours at West Hawk) on: Mar 16, 2024

Bob (Bumper) was my Sergeant in the North end. He was very well respected, well liked and treated his platoon like his own. By far the best boss I had worked for in any job I ever worked. Bob was simply an exceptional human being. Rest in Peace Bumper. - Posted by: Dave Lysyk (Coworker / friend) on: Mar 16, 2024
