Vlado leaves to mourn his beloved wife Hermina, daughter Gordana Landygo (Darryl), son Chris (Meaghan) and grandchildren, Kyle Landygo (Cyma Tolaj), Tianna Landygo (Kelson Borisenko), Mylo Erbus and Makai Erbus.
Dad immigrated to Canada in 1967 with Hermina and Gordana where they settled in Winnipeg to live close to Aunty Teresa and cousin Frank Taferner (Carla Johnson) and later joined by brother-in-law Frank Vidovic (Rose and David).
Vlado was a very unique individual. Very smart and always ready to debate every topic. He loved to spend his summers early on in the Whiteshell and later in Pinawa where he befriended many a four-legged creature. He was known as the deer whisperer to many lake friends. He was kind to all animals from spiders to skunks and adored his two feline companions, Suzie and Mottza.
He amazed us all with his youthful agility trying to keep up with his grandkids. Sadly, he endured two bouts of cancer, and the last one was the one to take him. Through it all, he approached it with a positive spirit and practical outlook.
The family would like to thank dear family and friends who came to visit and show their love during his journey. As well, we would like to thank the wonderful care received at CancerCare (Dr. Czaykowski and team) as well as all the amazing nurses at home care and Palliative Home Care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home located at 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Highway.
